Stormzy mural blows Dublin away

By: Michelle Bourke

A Stormzy mural has appeared in Dublin and it is amazing. The mural was put up today, ahead of his gig in Dublin, by a group called Subset.

They put up the mural just off Smithfield Square ahead of the rappers concert tomorrow night in Dublin’s Olympia Theatre.

Speaking to 98fm the group say that they chose him for the mural “due to the fact that we all think he’s a complete boyo”.

They are hoping that the London rapper will stop by to see the mural himself when he comes to Dublin tomorrow.

It looks like the group have caught the rappers attention already as he took to Twitter to share a photo of the artwork, alongside the message: “Dublin, I don’t know who’s responsible for this but thank you and tomorrow is gonna be MAD. Kicking off the tour strong  “

The rapper is due to perform tomorrow in Dublin’s Olympia Theatre. The mural is a still taken from his music video for ‘Shut Up’.

Many people have taken to Twitter to show their appreciation for the artwork as well as their confusion as to why it has appeared.
